She stood, lost and waiting
Waiting for the man with
Empty Feelings,
The man who'd never show
Leaving her cold and lonely with
Faltering Emotions.
She hears it
The GROWL of his truck
He doesn't stop
instead, he drives past her
Tossing a
Single
Rose out the dirt-crusted window.
It lands at her feet,
Tears threaten her eyes as
she lifts her Converse and
Crushes down the petals as
the sky cries raindrops.
